Zombieland Pottery Props I Painted 2009 (16)
Okay, well, since everyone saw this and it's out on DVD, I figure I can go ahead and post the workstation where I painted hundreds of blank pieces of pottery to be smashed in the film Zombieland. I actually recognized many pieces on camera, which was weird to say the least. One in particular got knocked off a pedestal by Woody Harrelson, and it was strange to see it and remember painting it. This whole project was amazing, with a real vibe to it, especially the getting up at 5 a.m. part, for a weekend. Thanks to Mike O'Mara for pulling his art buddy in on it. It was real fun! -
Personal Mythologies and Mystical Lovers: Paintings 2014 (5)
Lisa's current series of work, all 10 or 11 x 14 inspired by the writings and teachings about Mythology by Joseph Campbell and the Symbolist works of the mid 1880's. These works will represent her own "Personal Mythology." She will be doing a series of 18. The number 18 was chosen, because it is the symbol of 1 or The Self and 8 which is the symbol of infinity. -

Fall 2006: Amicalola Falls (27)
Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "tumbling waters," is an appropriate name for these 729-foot falls ~~ the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. An 8.5 mile approach trail leads from the park to Springer Mountain, the southern end of the 2,135-mile Appalachian Trail. However, numerous other trails are available for shorter journeys. A beautiful lodge at the top of the mountain is popular with guests who prefer hotel-type comforts, while a 5-mile hike leads to more remote accommodations at the Len Foote Hike Inn. -

A-Bomb Video Stills (1)
Way back in 2001 my little "production company" No Big Wheel made a very cool video for the Swimming Pool Q's in Flash, by scanning in about 500 frame by frame photos, and animating them flip book style. It was for the reissue of "the Deep End", and it's a video for the song "The A Bomb woke me Up". Animation: Andy King, Props and Models: Lisa King and Michael Rucker. Photos by Steve Rucker. -
